No cats were hurt making this knitted veterinary teaching tool.
The box that makes a little whimpering meow when turned upside down were given a knitted cosy and umbilical cord. It fits inside the kitten the cord goes through a bellybutton buttonhole and you close the flap at the bottom by putting the tail through the loop and tyeing the tail in a knot. I borrowed this book from the library to learn how to knit, I knew how to knit but just really basic things.
I was too lazy to learn much, but it was fun to knit something other than a scarf...
I'll be curious to see what you'd knit!
